When one of your favorite clients calls to tell you their parents are moving and want you to work on the project, you get excited! Going from 8000sf to 2500sf after retirement would be an adjustment, but these clients were ready. We took this house from a dated white-on-white carpeted townhouse to a colorful, dramatic oasis.
Located in Newport Beach, California, this townhouse has an open floor plan with dividing cabinetry, posts, and sunken areas that create character and interest. Light-filled rooms play on dark areas to create a dynamic home that feels much larger than it actually is. Warms whites, greys, and greens spill through each space with walnut herringbone floors. The new kitchen has a full-height stained wood and glass cabinet that draws you in from the dining room.
