Ole Hanson Duplex

Photographer: Amy Bartlam.  Ole Hanson’s fingerprint is left on many of the homes in the small town of San Clemente, California.  His historically prevalent designs typically feature white stucco exteriors, brown trim, and clay tile roofs and this home is no exception.  With respect to the design, but a need for a modern updated feel, we used encaustic tiles, white cabinets, arched doorways, and an open space plan.  This duplex allowed us to design the spaces individually while still keeping it respectful of Ole’s original vision.
